As an Ob/Gyn and as a practitioner of public health, I would like to call on the all-male GOP leadership to stop calling in all-male religious leaders as well as panels full of lay people to decide whether birth control should be fully covered by insurance plans. If your car happens to break down and you want it fixed, you call a Mechanic. If you need advice about the law, you consult a lawyer. Since when did religious leaders become experts on Women's Health? As a practitioner of Medicine for over 40 years and as a proud supporter of Planned Parenthood, NARAL, and other women's health groups, I promise that if elected, I will do everything in my power not to let this happen in the future."
